Adult Indoor Soccer OR – WHY SHOULD WE LET THE KIDS HAVE ALL THE FUN!?
Steve Campbell, coach of the Boys U-14 Thunder and Director of Soccer for Indy Indoor Sports Park, is looking for a few more adults whod like to play in an indoor league. He already has a few signed up, but still must find a few more in able to field a team. (This is in an over-30 league… you young whipper-snappers need not apply…)
If you’d like to play, give Steve a call at IISP — the number is 781-1100. IISP is located at 6650 Bluff Road, just south of Banta Rd., on the west side of the street.

Center Grove High School Soccer
Some of the best high school soccer in the state is being played just two miles up Morgantown Road from CGSC, at Center Grove High School! Last season both the boys and girls varsity soccer teams advanced to the semi-state round of play. This season promises to be even better and more exciting. Most of the current varsity soccer players got their start at Center Grove Soccer Club.
Parents – there are many benefits to attending the games at CCGS. Right off the top, youll get to see some of the best teams in the state play. Another benefit is that your child will get to see, on the field, some of the things their coach is teaching in their practices. And youll be supporting the youth of our community by cheering them on to victory!
Again this season, all Center Grove Soccer Club Players wearing their CGSC jersey (accompanied by an adult) will get in to any home CGHS boys and girls soccer games free. Adults will pay $4.00 at the gate. CGHS Athletic all-sport passes are available from the CGHS Athletic office at a cost of $50.00 for adults, $45.00 for students and $40.00 for seniors. A CGHS all-sports pass is an admission for all 20 IHSAA sports at all levels for all regular season home events. For more information or to purchase a pass contact the High School at 881-0581.

See you at the games!
Concession Stand Notes
We are still looking for some volunteers to help with opening and closing the concession stand for the Fall season. If you choose to help us you will still be able to watch your children’s’ games. While we’ve been fortunate enough to have had enough help in the past, this fall, several of us have children that play high school soccer and we are not able to be at the club as much as we would like. So if you could help us with opening or closing during the fall season or have recommendations you can send our way, please give me a call at 882-3869. I look forward to talking with you.
Marsha Williams, V. P. of Concessions
Equipment Pick-Up
Larri McClintock, Equipment Manager, will be at the Barn (in the South parking lot) to pass out equipment from 5:30 to 6:30pm on the following three days:
Thursday, August 16th
Monday, August 20th
Tuesday, August 21st
A representative from each recreational team needs to be there at one of these times to pick up their equipment for the fall season. If you have this responsibility for your team and cannot make it at one of these times, it will be up to you to contact Larri to get your equipment.
It’s Soccer Time!
Recreational Notes
The Fall Recreational Season is just around the corner! Practices can begin on the week of August 20-24. If you have not heard from your coach by August 17th, please contact the club via the club’s voice mail at 422-9555, and leave a message stating your child’s name, birth date, gender, and phone number. Someone from the club will contact you shortly after that.
The Fall season kicks off with our Jamboree on Saturday, 8 September. The day starts off with our annual “Parade of Teams”. All of the teams will participate in the parade — with all of the players in uniform, it’s quite a colorful spectacle! Following the parade, each team in the U5, U6 and U8 age groups will play in the Jamboree — a series of short “scrimmage” games against some of the other teams in their divisions. The U10, U12 and U16 teams will play their first regularly scheduled game.
Be sure to mark your calendar for Picture Day, Saturday, 15 September. Each team will have a team picture taken, and each player will have their individual picture taken. As we approach Picture Day, your coach or team parent will be notified of the time for your pictures to be taken.
Each team needs to have their appointed Team Parent to attend the annual Team Parent Meetings on Wednesday, 5 September and Thursday, 6 September — they will be at the Clubhouse at 5:30pm. On Wednesday the 5th, we need the Team Parents from the following age brackets to attend: U6 Co-ed, U8 Boys, U10 Boys, U12 Boys and U16 Co-ed. On Thursday the 6th, we need the Team Parents from the U5 Co-ed, U8 Girls, U10 Girls and U12 Girls.
And… we’re still looking for some help! If you could volunteer to fill one of the open positions, we’d be very grateful for your help! Contact Keith Lambert or Sue Frederick if you can help us by filling one of these positions.
One other note…in past seasons, weve had a bit of a problem with parking in our North lot — especially on Saturday mornings during the Recreational Season. Take a moment and check out our North Parking Lot Map.
If everyone will park where they are supposed to, it will make parking — and leaving after your game is done — much easier on all of us!
